Your contacts power your marketing to your sphere of influence, driving your business. That is why it is vital to have all your contacts with complete information. MoxiEngage connects with your email contacts so that you can manage your people in one place.
One way to populate your MoxiEngage My People is to upload your contacts into your MoxiEngage using a free tool from MoxiWorks partner API Nation. You have to use a Google account, but it does not have to be the account tied to your MoxiEngage. It does not even need to be a Gmail account tied to MoxiEngage! This gives you the advantage to use the API Nation account to upload contacts from multiple sources.
This solution also allows you to automatically match fields with what is available in your MoxiEngage My People, with any other information going into the Notes field of your contact record. Here how to upload your contacts.
You will need a Google account, though you won’t need to attach the email to your MoxiEngage account. You will need to upload all your various contact spreadsheets into that account.
Visit the API Nation MoxiWork/Google Sheets Import Tool page at this URL.
Once on the page, either log into your API Nation account or create a new one.
When you are signed in, select Step 1: Connect to MoxiWorks. You will be asked to supply your MoxiWorks account so it can be connected to your Google Sheets account via API Nation.
You will be asked to give authorization for API Nation to get authorization to your Google Sheets account. Allow the authorization.
For your first Google sheet, open Google Drive and open the sheet. Select the Share button on the screen to copy the URL of the sheet. You will need this for the import.
A pop-up screen will appear. Select the Copy Link button.
In API Nation, paste the URL into the appropriate field. Ensure all other fields are filled in as well.
Ensure the spreadsheet is in the .csv format!
Select the Mapping section of the screen. API Nation will automatically match as many fields as it can between your spreadsheet and the fields available within MoxiEngage. Please do a manual review of the match to see if any fields need to be changed.
If a field has not matched automatically or needs to match a different field, select the icon under any field header to reveal the Google Sheets headers available. Select the matching header.
Selecting the Map Automatically button will revert any manually matched fields to what API Nation believes it should be.
When all fields are matched, select the Activate Sync button.
You can see syncing progress under Logs on the screen. A green Success emblem will let you know all your records have been imported.
If you need to connect a Google Sheet from another account, repeat the process and either use a URL from another sheet in the same account or connect another Google account.
