Creating your customer account on an agent website

Are you a serious buyer who is taking the step beyond just looking and interested in a specific type of property or knowing just which neighborhood you want to live in? You will want to begin receiving listing emails with updates on available properties.  You may also already know which agent you would like to work with.  This article shows you how to set up your customer account on an agent's website so you can start creating saved searches and favorite properties.

Open your agent's website and find the Sign In button (see below)

You may need to navigate to a page other than their homepage in order to see the sign in button.

If you have an account, enter your username and password and select Sign In.

If you do not have an account, select the link that says "I don't have an account, Sign up".

Enter your email address and select Create your account.

An email will be sent to you asking you to verify your email address.

Please select the button in the email that says "Verify Email Address".

You will automatically be associated with the agent who owns the website you created your account with.

Creating a Saved Search

Once you are signed into your account, you can navigate to the Properties Search page.

Use the filters to set the area and types of properties you're looking for and then select Save Search.

Give your search a name, select how often you would like to get an email, and if you want to get an email even if there are no properties that match your filters. Then select Save.

How to Save a Property as a Favorite

As you view properties on an agent's website, you may see one or several that you want to come back to later. You can save these properties by marking them as a favorite.  There are two places where you can mark a property as a favorite.

From the main Property Search page, click the heart on the listing thumbnail, or

select the listing to open the property details and click on the heart within the listing details page.

The agent you are associated with will see your favorite listings and saved search updates on your profile allowing them to keep up-to-date with your interests.

Managing your Favs & Saves

Review all previously favorited properties or update any saved searches from your web user account.  

Select the avatar in the upper right corner of the webpage (see below).

Then select My Favorites

You can then jump between your favorite properties tab and your saved searches tab.
